Catherine of Siena was especially known for her willingness to be among the sick and diseased in order to care for and heal them. She’s the saint of nurses, as well as a patron saint of Italy. She’s also known for speaking truth to power (even as a 14th-century laywoman) and has been said to be captain of the ship of Truth.
 
The primary top note of this candle is cedar for its sturdiness and warmth, softened by a bit of geranium. The middle notes are bergamot and olive leaf to pay homage to her Italian roots, and the base notes are a blend of cinnamon and frankincense. This candle smells much like the aroma that wafts through an Italian church.
